I host it at home with a static IP (62.147.183.196) in an ADSL (8128Kbps/928) connection, with a PC Pentium IV 3.2 Mhz, 1Gb RAM, 6*120Gb Hard Disk's (=720Gb!) in two RAID 1 arrays (hardware 4 Channels) and two external HDs, one with a system clone and the other one for media backup. All under a UPS.

  A part from that there is an external HD (network storage connected to the router) in Raid 1 with 2 SATA disks of 500Gb each.

norai.net server is called Oxigen and runs on Linux CentOS. It is isolated in the cellar with a powerful Uninterrupted Power Supply UPS and a moisture machine (like an air conditioned to keep constant degree of humidity). It runs a web server on Apache with PHP and SSL (own certificates) in the port 80 and 443. Zimbra email runs in Tomcat in port 7080 and 7443 and it is connected to the main Apache server using mod_jk. Most of the applications are written PHP with MySQL as backbone.

norai.net is running inside a NAT. Oxigen is the server and has a private IP. It is also a DHCP server. Mail server (postfix, IMAP push functionality), save file server (FTP over SSH2), 

Fusion is a Windows Media Center machine (Antec case) connected to my 42" LCD screen. Oxigen is controlled via VNC through FUSION or via wireless Hydrogen which is a laptop or Helium (my sony vaio laptop). Also inside: Xenon (HTCP3300) and an iPhone.

The Bluetooth wireless network (56Kb) has also printer (accessible from up to 100 meter) a mouse and a keyboard.

The wi-fi Network 802.11g being used by the laptop, with a WEP encryption. the HTC and an ip wireless pan/tilt camera, a computer free wifi skype phone (dualphone 3088).

Via Ethernet is Fusion, Oxigen the base of the wifi phone, my Sipura 3000 VoiP and my PAP2 solutions that are both connected to an Asterisk server in Oxigen. Asterisk server can be reached from any DID or regular phone using sipbroker. Norai extension is 8330. All connected to both my modem/switch and my additional switch which is also plugged in the ATC 1500 VA UPS.

Back up:

Back up is done with a clone of system's Hard Disk (in the IDE, but offline) and an external 250Gb disk. There is a script that runs every night to back up the linux system into a partition of the disk. The script is written in a way that the 250 GB disk can be booted in case that the system discs are corrupted (the raid 1). For this the boot and other sectors copied.

The "Media" Hard Disk is also backed up in DVD's. This is also in raid 1 (two HD of 320 Gb).

The services offered by norai.net are the following:

• webmail a web client for my smtp/imap server based on Zimbra with a very powerfull Ajax client.
• mail, smtp server (postfix) relaying only in localhost and local users (and some friends that are using me as relay), and IMAP4 and POP3. Incoming and outgoing messeges are checked for virues and SPAM. There is Anti SPAM system based on maaaany different solutions, from spam assassin to blacklist RBL virus checkers, etc.... The main antispam is based on Bayesian filtering, whitelist and greylist, a revolutionary statistical method that learns reaching an effectiveness of more than 99.5%. Delivery is secure thanks to mx backup with zonedit. Zimbra provides with a groupware solution including LDAP server for contacts, shared calendar, files, etc...
• chatroom where you can chat in real time. Just click an enter your nickname. Its a PHP script linked to MySQL.
• Weather forecast for GVA and BCN.
• picture gallery with more than 6500 pictures available in 3 formats. Depending on login and password you'll have access to the pictures that concerns you.
• photos gallery a flax based "beautifull" gallery where I put my best shots.
• forum, for test propouses and now installing a mail list server.
• I have also a classifieds section (under construction),
• Personal website to norai friends at nameoffriend.norai.net that they can handle via web in a www folder in their file repository on the port 80 (not ftp allowed). Also, on demand, whatever.norai.net could be forarded to the user to have its own hosting of the subdomain, email included if wished.
• All norai.net, exept virtualhost is available in https (SSL 128).
• Webcam that detects movement and broadcasts streaming video (close to everybody) and sends me email and SMS in case of movement detection at home. Smart isn't it?
• A list Manager from the server to subscribe and so (under development)
• I am testing other applications too... but I lack free time... Dupal, elgg, sugarCRM, and a long etc...

Norai main website it is based on joomla open source and offers:

• Links to the most of the above mentioned services,

• Agenda of activities
• User registration, news, articles and article comment, file repository with summision of files (under my approval) and dowloads, wether forecast, links, guestbook, FAQ, and a long etc...

But my server Oxigen is not alone! we also have Fusion for:

• jukebox, with a THX 5.1 dolby prologic sorround system of more than 500 Watt RMS, and more than 20.000 songs,
